Kelvin Drake

DRAKE, Kelvin With sad hearts the family announces the sudden passing of Kelvin Drake August 26, 2019 at age 80. He grew up in North East Margaree, the youngest of seven children of the late John and Florence (Austin) Drake. Kelvin is survived by his daughters, Cindy Krawczyk, Florida, Stacy Drake and fiancé Steve Hickman, Indiana, and Lottie Long, Florida; his sister, Isabel Taylor, Halifax; 8 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter, Sherry Drake; sisters, Elizabeth, Isobella (in infancy), and Anne; and brothers, James and Murdoch. After many years in the USA (Illinois) Kelvin returned to Canada making Margaree, Grand Etang and finally Whycocomagh his home, where he became very active in the community. Kelvin was an avid reader and always open to discuss any topic at great length. His wide circle of friends will always remember his extraordinarily kind nature. Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life and Interment will be at a later date. Donations in Kelvin’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
