FARRELL, Keltie Morgan ‘Junior’ Bras d’Or It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Junior Farrell, age 57, on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Channel, Port Aux Basques, Nfld., on June 11, 1962, he was the son of the late Keltie and Fanny (Lillington) Farrell. Junior was a carpenter by trade. He worked with and was friends for many years with Darren Vickers and Carl Johnstone. He was an active member of the Army Navy Airforce, Unit 381, Bras d’Or. In his early years Junior enjoyed playing ball, and in latter years was an avid dart player. Junior is survived by his wife, Marlene MacDonald, Bras d’Or; his son, Sheldon (Crystal), and his grandchildren, Ben, Piper and Mila. Also left to mourn are his sisters, Ellen (Claude), Debbie (Rob), Carolyn (Lloyd), and Lori Ann (Austin); brothers, Brian (Holly), Jack (Thelma); sister-in-law, Caroline (Scott); brothers-in-law, John (Sarah), and Sheldon (Doris); mother-in-law, Lorraine; many nieces and nephews, and a large group of friends. Besides his parents, Junior was predeceased by his son, Christopher; siblings, Nelson and Evelyn, and father-in-law, John. Visitation for Junior Farrell will be held in the J. M. Jobes Funeral Home on Monday, October 14, 2019, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A celebration of his life will take place Tuesday, at 11 a.m. in Trinity Anglican Church, Queen St., Sydney Mines, with Rev.
