Joyce Polar — St. Stephen

POLAR, Joyce Marie, passed away at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB, Sunday, November 5, 2017. She was the wife of the late Samuel M. Polar. Born In Hubbard's Point, NS, on February 19, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Beatrice Doucet. She is survived by her daughters, Kim McKnight, Jill Polar-Simm (Chris), all of St. Andrews, NB; grandchildren, Sara and Josh Simm; sisters, Gladys d'Entremont, Burlington, ON; Ruby Lavers, Truro, NS and Joan d'Entremont of Hubbard's Point, NS; brother Bill Doucet (Joanne), Ottawa, ON, many nieces and nephews. Joyce was a member of the C.W.L., Liberal Party and Lionettes. In the past she worked in tourism in St. Andrews, NB. The service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2017 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, St. Andrews, NB, Father Gerry White officiated. Interment took place in St. Andrews Rural Cemetery.
