We, the family, regret to announce the passing of Joseph ‘Joe’ Michael Campbell, on November 1, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Sydney he was the son of the late Roderick and Margaret (MacMullin) Campbell, Ben Eoin. Joe began his career in construction and evolved to owning his own trucking company. An enthusiastic Cape Breton Hockey fan, Joe and his wife proudly held season tickets for the last 25 years. He enjoyed many additional sports such as baseball (The Jays), horse racing and boxing. Joe greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was well known for his wonderful sense of humour along with his kind and generous spirit. Joe was loved by all who were privileged to know him, especially by his wife and daughter, he was their world. Left to mourn is, his loving wife, Anne (Rosnok); daughter, Lisa, Calgary AB; brother-in-law, Duncan (Mary) Rosnok; special niece and nephew, Natasha Rosnok and Mike (Shawna-Lee White) Rosnok; grandnephews, Max and Aram, and grandniece, Natalia Sodhi. He is also survived by many dear cousins, relatives, and close friends. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Donald. Cremation has taken place. Visitation for Joe will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. Funeral service to take place the following day Wednesday, November 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
