John Harold Bartlett — East Dover

Age 80, of East Dover, passed away peacefully at home on October 9, 2018. Born in Terence Bay, Harold was a son of the late John Vincent Bartlett and Mary Amelia Little. Harold worked as a Training Coordinator for the Federal Government for 39 years, retiring in 1995. Harold loved hunting, fishing and four- wheeling, and was the center of every kitchen party playing his guitar. He enjoyed time at the camp with friends, and especially time spent with his Pictonian and Cape Breton friends. Harold was never a complainer, and was always smiling and eager to help anyone. He enjoyed the simple life, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Pauline Teresa (Murphy); his children, John Raymond Bartlett (Denise), Brenda Mary Zinck (Henry), Juanita Marie Campbell; grandchildren, Steven, Eileen, Nicole, Heidi, Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Cody, Alexis; sister, Marie (Murray) Francis; brother, Jim (Marg) Bartlett. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or burial. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 20th at 11 a.m., in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 3709 Prospect Rd., Shad Bay; Father Sebastian Szewczyk officiating. Reception to follow in East Dover Community Hall, 15 Learys Cove Rd., East Dover. No flowers by request.
