Joan Caroline Frances Briand (Marriott) — Halifax

Age 78, Halifax, passed away August 11, 2019 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Amelia "Molly" (Amos) Marriott. She is survived by son, Darrell; grandson, Darcy; great-grandchildren, Rylan and Greyson; niece, Susan; nephews, Gary, Kevin; and long-time friends, Donna Kent, Lorraine Newcome. She was predeceased by former husband, William "Billy" Briand; brother, James Marriott; and niece, Linda. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, August 16th at 1 p.m. from Emmanuel Anglican Church, 322 Herring Cove Rd. Reception to follow in church hall.
