JESSICA AIMEE (JOE) SMITH

A celebration of life for the late Jessica Aimee (Joe) Smith, 44, was held September 9 in St. Ninian Place, Antigonish.

Mrs. Smith died September 4, 2019.

She was a daughter of Anna (Jim) and the late Johnny Joe. She lived life large in every way. She had a huge smile, infectious and distinct laugh, and could be heard cheering at her son’s hockey games. She had the same passion for her work with the United Way of Pictou County over the last 10 years. Her drive to create a better community also led her to volunteer with many groups, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Pictou County Volunteer Coalition, and Pictou County Community Partners for Children and Youth, to name a few.

Besides her mother, she is survived by her son, Cooper; his father, Steven; three sisters, Judy (Cameron), Pearl (Mike), Tanya (Scott); three nieces, Josie, SJ, Maggie; nephew, Liam.

She was predeceased by her grandparents.

Memorial donations may be made to Palliative Care Society, IWK or United Way.
