Jane Richardson

Jane Ackley Richardson, 88 of Westville passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Ottawa, on August 27, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Roderick and Elizabeth (Allen) Richardson of Westville. Jane was a school teacher in Pictou County and after retirement always maintained and interest in young people. She was a member of St. Paul United Church and enjoyed reading, puzzles, crafts and traveling. A kind person, Jane gave in so many ways to her community. She is survived by her sisters, Isabel Richardson, Westville and Anne Lawson, Bedford; niece Ruth Holland- Richardson; nephews Peter Lawson, Joe Lawson and Rod Richardson; special cousin, Anne Kearley, Belleisle, NB and several cousins. Jane was predeceased by her brother, Joe Richardson. Her family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 6-8 pm at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral service will be held 2 o’clock Wednesday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Dr. Mary Taylor officiating. Interment will be in the Auburn Cemetery.
