James 'Jimmy' Frizzell
Jimmy Frizzell passed away on February 5, 2019 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Jimmy is survived by his sons, Harold (Donna) Frizzell, North River Bridge, NS, Bruce Frizzell, Niagara Falls, Ont,; granddaughter, Alysee Washik; greatgrandson, Embury Samuel, Niagara Falls, Ont,; sister, Anna (Late N.D.) Carmichael, Tarbot, NS; niece, Joyce Frizzell Houghton, Niagara Falls, Ont and special friends, Henry and Lorraine Klein, Welland, Ont. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Annie Frizzell; son, John Frizzell; brothers, Murdock Frizzell and Donald Frizzell; foster parents, William and Flora MacDonald. Jimmy worked as a nautical wheelman for Canada Steamship Lines and as a machinist for Hayes Dana Inc. He enjoyed playing crib, meeting friends for coffee at the Pen Centre, going for walks and working in his garage. He grew up on the Murray Rd., in North River, Cape Breton. He was a great story teller and liked to tell tales about his younger days and the people he knew growing up. When making occasional visits back home to Cape Breton to see family he always made a point of visiting his old friends and the old farm on the Murray. Cremation has taken place, burial at Goose Cove Cemetery will be announced at a later date.
