SMITH, Jackie It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jackie Smith on Sunday, Oct. 6. Born Feb. 14, 1946 in North River he was the son of the late John Angus and Alice (MacRae) Smith. He leaves behind his wife, Marie; son, Dale (Carley); daughters, Sharon (Ted) and Sharlene. He also leaves his precious grandchildren, Owen, Myles, Carson,Gavin and Rachel; sisters, Murdena Stephen and Betty Gimler; nieces and nephews. Jackie was predeceased by son, Kelly; brothers, Raymond, Donnie, Andrew; sister, Muriel; nephew, Wesley. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thurs., Oct. 10, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at the St. Ann’s Bay United Church, Buriel at Riverside Cemetery following service. Light refreshments to follow in tea room after service.
