MOORE, Harriett "Grace" Moore, Harriett “Grace” – 84, Lower Truro, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2019 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre with family by her side. She was a daughter of the late Hilton and Harriett Boyce. Grace is survived by children, Terry Moore (Dave Arseneau), Lori Taylor (Garry Atkins), Jerry Moore (Kathleen Richardson), Tracey Donohoe (Russ Donohoe) and Cory Moore (Laura Paight) as well as twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Doug Boyce, Charlie (Del) Boyce, Ralph (Audrey) Boyce, Syd (Irene) Boyce and George (Linda) Boyce along with sister, Flo (Vince) Weatherbee. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ron Moore; son, Rick Moore; brothers, Ron and Bill Boyce; sister, Helen McNeill; sisters-in-law, Eileen and Marg and brother-in-law, Charlie McNeill. “Mom” or "Grammie Grace” was best known for being in her kitchen mixing up fresh biscuits to accompany her macaroni casserole, her homemade doughnuts at Christmas time and special birthday cakes with money in the corners. Family often dropped in for a visit with Ma over coffee or tea with something freshly baked. Mom loved seeing and catching up with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her time on the mountain with Dad. They spent many years enjoying the solitude, the wildlife and each other’s company. Grace also loved to volunteer at the hospital coffee shop until the hospital changed locations. In recent years, the monthly coffee parties with her daughters and “special daughters,” Cynthia and the late Fran Weatherbee, became her favourite get together. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro where a visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12th from 6–8 p.m. with a Memorial Service on Friday, September 13th at 10 a.m. Donations in Grace’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Colchester S.P.C.A. Live webcasting of the service will begin at 9:58 a.m. (Atlantic time) and is available along with online condolences at www.ColchesterCommunity.com
