Harold ‘Glenn’ Lamson

Harold ‘Glenn’ Lamson
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harold ‘Glenn’ Lamson on June 2, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with cancer. Glenn was born in Sydney to the late Robert and Eileen (Cuff) Lamson. Glenn worked a lot of jobs over the years, travelling and meeting new people. Glenn was an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved doing anything that would put a smile on someone’s face. Glenn had been involved in a lot of organizations over the years. His biggest accomplishment has been the annual trout fishing derby. As he’s been known to say, “nothing beats seeing how happy a child is after catching their first fish”. He leaves behind his loving wife of 38 years, Christine Lamson (Tibert); beautiful daughter, Brenda Lamson and handsome grandson, Lucas; brothers, Donnie (Shirley) Lamson of Alberta and John ‘Wayne’ Lamson of Sydney; sisters, Ann Lamson (Felix) of Sydney, Kathy (David) Keeping of Sydney, Debbie MacNeil of Sydney and Deloris (Alex) Lee of Glace Bay, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Glenn is predeceased by brother, Douglas, and brother-in-law, Russel MacNeil. Visitation for Glenn will take place Thursday, June 7 from 12-2 p.m. at Chant’s Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. A Celebration of his life will follow immediately at 2 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant to officiate. Reception to follow. We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses of Palliative Care and all nurses and staff on 4B from the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Also, thank you to the VON and Home Care staff. In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Glenn may be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Cancer Centre or the Whitney Pier Boys and Girls Club. Messages and memorials may be directed to www.chantfuneralhome.ca. Funeral arrangements are under the care of S.W. Chant and Son Funeral Home.
