Harold Edison Grover — Glen Haven

Harold Edison Grover
Age 79, of Glen Haven, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019 in QEII Health Sciences Centre,, Halifax, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Whitehead, Guysborough Co., he was the son of late Helen Grover. Harold was a proud retiree from Toyota after 23 years of service. After his retirement he kept himself busy working for other people and offering his help to people with his landscaping and carpentry skills. He enjoyed working with his hands, working on cars and playing his guitar. Harold enjoyed performing at local senior facilities with his bandmates. He looked forward to the endless hours in the garage with his son-in-law, Dino. Harold showed his strength and bravery during his battle until his last day. Survived by his daughters, Frances (Tony Dauphinee), Halifax; Diana and Donna (Dino) Monk, both of Tantallon; stepdaughter, Shannon Wood, Halifax; sisters, Judy, New Glasgow; Barb, British Columbia; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his loving and faithful wife of 28 years, Patricia; his son, Minto (Hal); and several brothers and sisters. In keeping with Harold's wishes there will be no services. A special thank you to Carmel Comeau for her com panionship, friendship and support and Tootie for her special hugs; Fred Hubley and Gordon Hubley and the rest of his band members for their years of wonderful music. Also, Walter Monk for being his adopted son always by his side, Devon from palliative care for all of his support and comfort during this difficult time and to Susan Cottreau, 8th Floor Nurse at the Halifax Infirmary, for the special compassion and comfort provided during his last moments.
