Gregory Bernard ‘Greg’ Buckley
A graveside service for the late Gregory Bernard ‘Greg’ Buckley, 69, River Bourgeois, was held February 9 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery.
Mr. Buckley died February 1, 2019.
Born July 30, 1949, he was the adopted son of the late Carrie and Abraham Beranger. He enjoyed a gadgets, the result of his early training at Eastern Tech and his innate curiosity of all things mechanical. His ability to figure out problems was remarkable – from car problems to crosswords. He enjoyed baseball, especially the Montreal Expos and Toronto Blue Jays. His great interest in baseball extended to local sports, where he spent many years umpiring at ball fields across the county. He was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan.
He is survived by daughter, Amanda ‘Mandy’ (Floyd) Mombourquette, Grande Greve; two grandchildren, Julia Mombourquette, Ryan Buckley; sisters and brothers.
He was also predeceased by his infant son, Gregory Junior.
Memorial donations may be made to the Strait Richmond Health Care Foundation or a charity of choice.
