Gloria Dawn Burton

The family sadly announces the passing of Gloria Dawn Burton, age 67, of 1249 George Street, Sydney, NS on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert ‘Bill’ and Frances (Anthony) Burton. Dawn was a member of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Parish, Cabot St. Sydney. She is survived by her sister, Marie (Dana) Murrin; brother, Gordon (Anne) Burton; special niece, Brandy and special nephew, Keagan; nephews, Matthew, Andrew and Garrett; niece, Elizabeth, very special cousins, Barbara (Leon) Romard and Sheldon (Mabel) Postlethwaite. Visitation for Dawn Burton will be from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, November 9, the funeral service will take place at 2 p.m., both at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel with Fr. Bill Burke officiating. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks. In lieu of sympathy cards, the family requests Christmas cards as the Christmas season was very special to Dawn.
