Garfield Alexander Leblanc

With deep sorrow and profound sadness, we, the family of Garfield Alexander LeBlanc, announce his passing on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at the Northside General Hospital, with his family by his side. Alex worked as an emergency room nurse at Harbour View Hospital, Sydney Mines, and the Northside General Hospital until his retirement. Left to mourn his loss is his wife, Beverly; son, Mark (Kelly); daughters, Mary and Michele (Michael); sisters, Ann Meehan (Harold), Selica McPhearson (Greggor) and Joan MacDonald (Ian); eleven grandchildren; two great-grandsons, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Garfield LeBlanc and Mary-Ellen Pendergast, he was predeceased by son, Michael; brothers, Barry and John, and sister, Sheila. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or, with Fr. Peter McLeod officiating.
