G. Doreen Branscombe-Boyd — Yarmouth

BRANSCOMBE- BOYD, G. Doreen - 72, of Yarmouth N.S. passed away on January 2, 2019 at her home in Yarmouth. Born in Yarmouth on July 31, 1946 she was a daughter to the late Peter Eli and Mary Ida (LeBlanc) Moulaison. Doreen was a wonderful giving mother, wife, and grandmother who loved her family dearly. She loved the Lord and was a member of the Evangel Assembly Church in Yarmouth. She read the Bible and did so every morning faithfully and during Bible study groups. In her working years Doreen was a teacher's aid and tutor as well as a dietitian at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. More importantly she was a homemaker who took great pride and joy in raising her family. She is survived by her loving husband Jack Boyd; sons, Gerald (Michelle) Branscombe; Paul (Kim) Branscombe; daughter, Kathy Branscombe (David Crosby); sisters, Rose Muise, Gladys Little; Clara (Victor) Deveau; and grandchildren, Stacie, Joshua, Kayne, Emily. Besides her parents Doreen was predeceased by her first husband, Albert Branscombe; brothers, Peter, William and George. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation took place, Sunday, January 6th, 2019 from 7-9 P.M. in Sweeny's Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service was held Monday, January 7, 2019 at 2 P.M. from the Evangel Assembly Church located at 1 Myrtle Street, Yarmouth. Interment will take place at a later date in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Yarmouth Food Bank.
