PERRY, Franklin “Frank” Lloyd – age 67, Yarmouth, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at home. Born September 19, 1951 on Stoney Island, Shelburne Co., he was the son of the late Locke and Gertrude Quinlan and the adoptive son of the late Lloyd and Gertrude Perry. Frank began working as a fisherman, but quickly discovered that he didn’t have the sea legs that it took to do the job, and so he became a landscaper, operating his own company in Yarmouth, Perry’s Lawn Care. Frank’s passion was dogs, and his loyal furry friend Brooke Doodle will miss him terribly. He also loved cars and had a collection of more than 450 die cast cars at home. Over the last few years, Frank also enjoyed travelling across Canada with his niece Rebecca. He is survived by a brother Jimmy Quinlan, Shelburne, as well as by special nieces, Rebecca Fudge and Beth Wideman; great nieces and nephews, Morgan, Jade and James Steele, Hope and Willie Field, as well as many other nieces and nephews. Aside from his biological and adoptive parents, he was predeceased by siblings, Bradford, Charlie, Ruthann, Herbie, Oscar and Donnie-Wayne. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at 3 p.m., Saturday, January 19 from Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth, Rev. M. Alden Fells officiating. A reception will follow at the HOPE Centre in Yarmouth. Interment will take place at a later date. Flowers are welcome and donations in memory of Frank may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
