Frank Serventi Scott
SCOTT, Frank Serventi Former Sydney resident Frank Serventi Scott passed away on May 26, 2019 at the age of 90. Frank was born, raised in Sydney, graduated from Sydney Academy, was employed by McCurdy's as Display-Advertising Manager. He moved to Toronto where he spent three years at Eaton's prestigious Concert Hall, then known as The Eaton Auditorium. Upon returning to Cape Breton Frank joined the staff at CJCB Radio, CJCB television as well as CKDH in Amherst. He was very active in Community theatre, instrumental in organizing The Sydney Drama Guild in 1949 and The Cape Breton Players in 1955. He was also Vice President of the Nova Scotia Drama League; his production of "The Bad Seed" in 1956 broke all attendance records for a little theatre show. Frank later moved to New York where he was involved in Corporate Personnel Management, continued his interest in community theatre, appeared with The Little Theatre of Forest Hills until his retirement in 1994 when he moved to Allentown, Pennsylvania. Franks was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Serventi; brothers, Silvio, Pierino, Rocco, Dominic; sisters, Elizabeth Baldwin, Theresa DellaVella and Sister Marie Josepha; nieces, Teresa Nagy, Joan DellaVella O'Grady on June 3, 2019. He is survived by nephews, Richard, Joseph, Michael and niece, Carol.
