Florence Neville

NEVILLE, Florence On Wednesday, October 2, 2019, Florence Neville, loving mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 91 at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney. She was the daughter of the late John H. and Margaret MacNeil. Florence enjoyed travelling and was always on the go with her friend, Eleanor. She enjoyed festivals, ceilidhs and a good game of cards. She was known for her dry sense of humour and wit. If you went to visit, the tea was always on and freshly baked tea biscuits were on the counter. Family was important to Florence and she enjoyed spending time with them. She was admired by her grandchildren and visits from her great-grandchildren always brightened her day. Florence is survived by her daughter, Donna Munro (Glenn); son-in-law, Donnie Patterson; grandchildren, Candace O’Neill (Scott), Alex Patterson (Sarah), Shea Munro (Krysta) and Andrew Patterson (Jessica); and three great-grandchildren, Cian, Scarlett and Ryleigh. She is also survived by her twin sister, Theresa Kennedy, MA and sister, Olga, FL. Florence was predeceased by her husband, Con; son, Terrence; daughter, Charlene Patterson; sisters, Mary, Betty, Jessie and Rita; and brothers, John, Michael, Michael and Ronnie. Special thanks to the staff of St. Anne’s Bay, Kimberly Hall at Harbourstone Enhanced Care. There will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church on Monday, October 7 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Patrick O’Neill officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a non-perishable food donation can be made to Loaves and Fishes accepted at the back of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
