MACDONALD, Ethel Rena Ethel Rena MacDonald, 93, of Port Bevis passed away peacefully at home on August 8, 2019. Born on Murray Rd., Victoria County, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret MacDonald. Ethel worked as a baker at the Gaelic College, Inverary Inn and Baddeck Lobster Suppers. She was “a very strong Tory”, loved to play cards and go to bingo with Willard and her friends. Ethel was a devoted wife, sister, mother and grandmother, her grandchildren were her world. Survived by her daughter, Margie; grandchildren, Rena, Ariana and Gabriel; her sister, Margaret Morrison and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband Willard; brothers, Norman and Andrew; sisters, Josie, Murdena and Mary Belle; son-in-law Christos Katikos and her furry friend, Mittens. Visitation to be held at Ephriam Scott Presbyterian Church, South Haven on August 10, 2019, from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral at 2 p.m. on August 11 at Ephriam Scott, followed by a reception at South Haven Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ethel may be made to the Autism Society of Nova Scotia, Ephriam Scott Presbyterian Church or Victoria County Home Support Society.
