Ellen Jane Samson

Funeral service for the late Ellen Jane Samson, 73, Louisdale, was held January 11 in St. Louis Church, Louisdale, with Father Duncan MacIsaac officiating. Ms. Samson died January 7, 2019, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born August 3, 1945, at home in Louisdale, she was a daughter of the late Felix and Lillian (Burke) Samson. She is survived by her daughter, Shelley Landry (Sheldon Noble), Clydesdale; Donna MacDonald, Sackville; David Marchand, Courtice, Ontario; three grandchildren, Emma, Dartmouth; Robert (Sarah) Noble, Riley Noble, both of Antigonish; siblings, Patsy Marchand (Venere), Estelle Landry, Herman Samson (Mary), Carl Samson (Joan), Roy Samson (Eleanor), all of Louisdale; Joan Benoit (Stanley), Petit de Grat; Richard Marchand, Louisdale, who was like a brother to her. She was predeceased by Andrew Campbell, Sydney; three brothers, Joseph Samson ‘Teddy’, Vincent Samson, Terrance Samson; sister, Sylvia Landry.
