CORBETT, Ellen Blanche Westville Ellen Blanche Corbett, 76, Westville, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Daniel James and Margaret Ann Ruth (Eaton) Clyburn. Ellen lovingly raised five children, maintaining a well-stocked pantry with her much loved goodies. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and knitting. Ellen was involved in raising her grandchildren, who lovingly called her ‘Nanny’. Ellen was a constant in her grandchildren’s lives, Nanny was always there them, giving cuddles and hugs to silence tears. Her advice was always appreciated by her children and grandchildren. Ellen will be dearly missed by those she loved. Surviving are daughters, Ann (Malcolm) Pellerine, Priestville, Heidi Corbett (Harvey MacKenzie), Landsdown, Melodie (Billy) MacDonald, Trenton; sons, Jimmy (Andrea) Corbett, Ottawa, Reggie (Shandra Ziegler), Erlanger, Ky.; grandchildren, Zachary (Jenny) Wilson, Halifax, Maggie Wilson (Ryan MacKenzie), New Glasgow, Nicholas Bushulak, Stellarton, Christopher Bushulak (Nevada Finch), Stellarton, Hunter MacDonald, Trenton, Skyla Kohus, Kentucky, Lacey Pellerine, New Glasgow, Daniel Tulk, Ottawa, Kamryn Sevy-Griffin, Erlanger; great-grandchildren, Gemma, Lucas, Jewel, Skylar and Riel; sisters, Dianne (Harry) Blackadar, Plymouth, Carolyn (Butch) White, Trenton, ON; chosen sisters, Elsie Eaton, Stellarton and Maxine Cooke, Sackville, NB; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Matthew ‘Buddy’ Corbett. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, August 16 in Grey Road Cemetery, Middle River with Rev. Aidan Kingsbury officiating. The Corbett family wish to thank the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit staff, especially, nurses, Hannah, Lisa and Mary, Dr. Melanie MacCara, Dr. Anne Kwasnik-Krawczyk, Dr. Robert Cooper and the SHMH Restorative Care Unit Staff.
