Edgar Norman Mcphee
With broken hearts we announce the death of Edgar Norman McPhee of Antigonish, formerly of River Bourgeois, that occurred at the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home in Antigonish on March 8, 2018 at the age of 88. Born in River Bourgeois on February 23, 1930, he was the son of the late Charles Joseph and Angelina (Sampson) McPhee. Edgar is survived by his daughters, Margaret Rose Matthews (Gaetan Letourneau), Ottawa, Linda Richard (Joseph MacKinnon), Dartmouth, Verna (Paul) Stone, Antigonish and Maureen (Myron) Newman, Alberta; son, John (Brenda), St. Peter’s; sisters, Marie (Guy) Heude, River Bourgeois and Cecilia Fraser, Moncton, NB; brother, Bernard McPhee; companion, Rose; grandchildren, Angie, Trevor, Tyler, Nadia, Leslie, Tammy, Craig, Tara Lynn, Brandy, Cherie, Raymond, Adam, Ashley, Amy, Alicia and Vince, and great-grandchildren, Mia, Ella, Lillianna, Kaitlyn, Brody, Caleb, Bryson, Mady, MacKenzie, Jaydin, Blake, Liam, Lexie, Layla, Jade, Emra, Brooklyn, Emily, Josie, Ethan, Noah, Amanda, Amber, Hadden, Jude, Abbey Gail, Annabelle and Logan. He was predeceased by his wife, Theresa Lillian (Myette) MacPhee; son, Gerard Edgar; one child in infancy; great-granddaughter, Havana; sisters, Eunice, Mabel, Edna, Rosalia and Mary, and brothers, John, Gerald, Herman and Bonaventure. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation per request. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Church in River Bourgeois on Saturday morning, March 17 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Antolin Asor officiating. Burial to take place in St. John the Baptist Parish Cemetery at a later date.
