Diane Serroul — North Sydney

Diane Serroul
Diane Serroul, 73 Mill Creek Diane Serroul passed away peacefully on March 6, 2018. She was born September 6, 1944 to the late John and Edith (Tremblett) Pye. She lived for a brief time in Ontario where she and Sonny married. Shortly thereafter, they moved back to Cape Breton and built their home and their family in Point Aconi. She kept a beautiful home, putting her style and touch into every corner. Diane had amazing artistic abilities, creating beautiful work through sewing, knitting, painting, and everything else she put her hand to and was a long time member of the Munro Crafter’s Guild. Diane’s children and grandchildren were everything to her and she was happiest spending the day at the shore, surrounded by family and friends. Diane will be deeply missed by her children - Corinne (Denis) Arseneau, Alanna Serroul, John (Carol) Serroul and Josh Serroul. "Granny" will be forever loved by her grandchildren Aaron (Kayla), Tyler (Anthony) and Coady (Hannah) Craig; Luc (Anderlee) and Christian (Bailey) Arseneau; and Bronwyn and Rilla Serroul as well as her great-grandson Wyatt Martin Craig. While she was an only child by birth, her in-laws were the best siblings you could ask for. She leaves behind: Russell (Bea) Serroul, Carol Ann (Danny) Williams, Cela (Joey) McNeil, Judy (Peter) Astephen, Butch (Louretta) Serroul, Vince (Regina) Serroul, Jeanette (Brian) Forrest, Ellie Serroul (Shaun). Diane will also be missed by Joe and June Kowalski who were by far more family than friends. As per her instructions, there will be no service. Her body was donated to Dalhousie University so that others could learn from the arthritic pain she lived her whole life with. Her life will be celebrated in the home she loved surrounded by family and friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband Martin (Sonny) in 2013. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society, the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, or a charity of your choice.
