Cecilia Elizabeth Brow

Funeral service for the late Cecilia Elizabeth Brow, 80, Cape Jack, Antigonish County, was held October 8 in St. Paul’s Church, Havre Boucher, with Father Allan MacPhie officiating.  Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Brow died October 3, 2019, the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.

Readers at the funeral Mass were Patsy Brow and Paula McDonald. Tracey McMullen and Dwain Brow presented the offertory gifts. Music was provided by St. Paul’s Parish Choir.

Pallbearers were Ian Olsen, Nick Breen, Kenneth Brow, Cedric MacEachern, Allister Brow and Chris McMullen.

Born May 18, 1939, in Port Shoreham, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Gladys (MacKay) England. She worked at the credit union in Havre Boucher for 30 years.  She enjoyed cards, bingo, and camping, and most recently keeping in contact with friends and family through her iPad.

She is survived by four children, Wayne (Patsy), New Glasgow; Robert (Denise), Lloydminster, Alberta; Bonita (Scott) Harrison, Calgary; Dale, Newfoundland; daughter-in-law, Paula McDonald, Antigonish; 10 grandchildren, Tracey (Chris) McMullen, Dwain Brow, Cory (Carmen) Brow, Chris (Kailey Rintala) Brow, Ben (Holly Brooks) Brow, Braydon Beaudette, Ashtyn Beaudette, Cameron Brow, Jordan Brow, Katryn Brow; six great-grandchildren; sister, Edna MacDonald, New Glasgow; brother, Rodney Ehler, Newfoundland.

She was predeceased by her husband, Cyril; daughter-in-law, Lori.

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, St. Paul’s Parish Luncheon Fund, or a charity of choice appreciated.
