Funeral service for the late Camilla Ann ‘Millie’ MacDonald, 76, was held December 8 in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury, with Father Conrad Edwards officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Mrs. MacDonald died December 5, 2018, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born April 19, 1942, and raised in Port Hawkesbury, she was a daughter of the late Angus and Cassie (Steele) MacCormack. Prior to her marriage, she worked for many years as a switch board operator in Port Hawkesbury. She and her husband, Al, lived in Windsor, Pictou and Cleveland and, in her later years, she and her daughter lived in Port Hawkesbury. She enjoyed baking, Cape Breton music and attending ceilidhs. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie; sister, Kaye; sister-in-law, Ann; two brothers-in-law, Sterling, Ian; special friends, Patsy MacNeil, Steve Brown, Leah and Mya MacDonald. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Angus MacDonald; three sisters, Patricia, in infancy; Mamie, Rita; five brothers, Johnny, Steele, Hugh Martin, Roddie and Angus MacCormack.
