It is with great sadness that the family of a loving father and husband Cameron Stuart Maxwell age 75 of Shinimicas, NS announce his sudden passing on Sunday January 27th, 2019 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Amherst. Born in Halifax England, Cameron was the son of the late Arthur Maxwell and Louise (Simpson) Maxwell. Cameron had a great love of the outdoors, he was an avid hunter and fisherman which he enjoyed doing with his two sons, grandchildren and friends. He loved all animals especial his many cats and dogs. He was known and loved and will be deeply missed for his great ability to connect with anyone. For those who loved and new him best, the loss of his friendship and love will be felt forever. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Peggy (Dobson) of 53 years, his four children Shawn (Heather), Gael (Karen), Norma-Jane (John Connolly) and Nan (Michael) Hing. Cameron in also survived by his two sisters, Jeanette (Maxwell) Cyr and Linda (Hutchinson) Johnson. He also leaves behind eight beloved grandchildren, Devon, Amanda, Cameron, Jack, Madeline, Lily, Katie, and Gabriel. Special extended family Greg McMaster and Alex Hopkins. Besides his parents, Cameron was predeceased by his father-in-law Gordon Dobson. Following Cameron’s wishes cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St. Amherst, NS 902-667-9906. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cameron’s memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice.
