Cameron ‘Farmer’ Gracie

Cameron ‘Farmer’ Gracie
With heavy hearts and great sorrow, we regret to announce the passing of a wonderful father, husband and grandfather, Cameron Gracie, age 65, on March 9, 2018 surrounded by his family at the Northside General Hospital. Originally from Sydney Mines, he was the son of the late Shirley (Vickers) Gracie and stepfather Charles Dawe. He was predeceased by his niece, Lori Gracie, and brother-in-law, Leo Capstick. Cameron was a wonderful person with a kind heart, who loved spending time with his family. He was happiest at his camp in Iona, watching sunsets, or spending time in Florida, where many family memories were made. He was the heart and soul of our family; and we are broken without him. Also, well respected within the local construction industry, he’ll be missed by many. He is remembered with love by his wife, Linda; his children, Renee (Mike) Gallagher and Cameron Jr.; sister, Donna Capstick, and brothers, Glen (Emily), Keith and Terry. He is also lovingly remembered by Hughena Gracie and Adele Gracie; 12 nieces and nephews, and his most loyal friend, Abbey. Known as “Poppie”, he was adored by his two grandsons, Jordan and Lucas Gallagher of Porters Lake. In keeping with Cameron’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. The family will hold a private celebration of Cameron’s life at a later date. “We will love you forever and miss you for always. Your memory will remain forever in our hearts.” Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com.
