Brian Harrison

With broken hearts, the family of Brian Harrison wish to announce that he entered eternal life on February 22nd, 2018, with his family at his side. His spirit is carried on by his 2 children, Michelle (Jason Rhinas), and Andrew (Emily Frenette); 3 grandsons Jaxon, Max, and Oskar - who is affectionately known as “Little Brian”. He is also loved by 3 special boys, Luke & Jake Doyle & Lucas Fowler. Brian accomplished more in his short 68 years than most; often becoming president of any committee or organization that he joined. He was devoted to his church – First Baptist Church – and gave of himself to help in any capacity. Sports remained an important part of Brian’s life, he took pride in watching Jaxon play hockey. Even in his final days he was wanting to know the outcome of the Olympic curling and hockey games. Brian enjoyed his retirement from Canada Post and took great pride in his gardens and landscape. He was proud to pass his love of golf onto his grandson Jaxon. He loved to travel, and not only did he do that, but he organized many amazing trips in his later years through the First Baptist Fellowship Tours. Of all his accomplishments, his greatest passion was his family. His wife, Margo, was his center and together they made dreams come true. Brian only had one wish – that was to be at home, and Margo made that happen. Aside from his immediate family, Brian leaves a void in the lives of his only brother, Lester Harrison, sisters-in-law Sharon Harrison, Pat Hastings (John) and Linda Vogels (Martin); several special nieces & nephews, many cousins, and many friends. He now joins his parents, Harold and Frances (Hoeg) Harrison. The family will receive visitors at the First Baptist Church, Amherst, on Sunday March 4th starting at 12:30 pm, with a celebration of life service at 2 pm. Brian and his family wish to extend heartfelt appreciation to Dr’s McCrossin, Skotnicki, Ferguson & Short. Along with the amazing nursing staff at the CRHCC, VON, & Palliative care team – please know that what you do matters!
