Blanche Arthanse Sampson

Funeral service for the late Blanche Arthanse Sampson, 87, Louisdale, was held December 6 in St. Louis Church, Louisdale, with Father Duncan MacIsaac officiating. Burial was in St. Louis Parish Cemetery, Louisdale. Mrs. Sampson died December 1, 2018, in R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish. She was the youngest child of the late Bennie and Elizabeth (Samson) Marchand, Louisdale. She enjoyed baseball, especially the Blue Jays, spending time with her grandchildren, going to garage sales and shopping expeditions. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Abraham Sampson; three daughters, Delores (Tom) Brannon, Wanda Landry, Gisele James; two sons, Roy (Darlene), Kenny (Lise); five grandchildren, Amanda, Adam, Christopher, Tyler, Billy; brother, Benny Marchand. She was predeceased by 16 siblings, Narcisse, Helene ‘Nellie’, Ina, Viola, Clarence, Gladys, Francis, Vina, Jean Baptiste, Godfrey, Leonard, Mildred, Emile, Edith, Freda, Priscille.
