Beverly Joan (nee Macaulay) Gabriel

GABRIEL, Beverly Joan (nee MacAulay) Heaven needed another Angel, so God sent for her. It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister. Bev passed on June 7, 2019 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born to Peter and Eva MacAulay on August 7, 1939. She was a devoted mother of seven, a member of the Grand Lake Road Volunteer Fire Department, Ladies Auxiliary and Volunteered for the Cancer Society. She bowled, played darts and loved bingo. Bev is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Raymond Sr.; children, Brenda (Doug), Raymond Jr. (Charmaine), Kevin (Linda), Darlene (John), Paula, David (Lori) and Todd (Amanda); sisters, Heather and Shirley (James); brother, David; cousins, and six nieces and nephews, whom she loved with all her heart. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Bev was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Eva MacAulay; mother and father-in-law, Bill and Emeline Gabriel; brother-in-law, Paul MacSween; daughter-in-law, Paula Gabriel, and one great-grandchild. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be at a later date. We would like to thank the wonderful Doctors and nurses in the Palliative Care Unit, you are all so special. Also, thank you to the V.O.N. for all you’ve done for Mom.
