Basil Broderick Paul

We the family regret to announce the sudden passing of Basil Broderick Paul of Eskasoni, on Monday, January 7, 2019. Basil enjoyed swimming, rapping, dancing, Karaoke and loved children. He was a student at NSCC Marconi Campus and was a part time employee at Lone Feather Entertainment, Wagmatcook. He was a member of the Holy Family parish, Eskasoni. Basil is survived by his mother, Donna Doucette; stepfather, David Marshall, Eskasoni; father, Basil Paul Sr., Ontario; brothers, John Robert Doucette (Fran), Wagmatcook, Thomas Jay Paul, Eskasoni; sisters, Tiffany Battiste (John Denny), Eskasoni, Khrishna Paul (Jeff), Sydney, Emma Semande, Ontario; godparents, Mildred Poulette and Serge Paul; godchild, Sarah Googoo, Wagmatcook; nephews, Acha and JD; niece, Joslyn and good friend and employer, Mike L. Also survived by uncles, John Doucette, Stephen, Wilfred, Allister, Alfred; aunts, Mildred, Elizabeth, Gloria and Bridget, all of Eskasoni; foster parents, Karen and Mike Doucette; foster siblings, Alexina, Leah, Maurice, Misel, Pasamay, Peter, Rita, Keora, Donald and Kristy and by numerous nieces and nephews. Basil was predeceased by maternal grandmother, Martha Doucette; great grandmother, Sarah Wood; paternal grandparents, Margaret and Roderick Marshall and sister in infancy, Sarah Jane Doucette. Visitation for Basil Paul will begin after 7 p.m. on Saturday, January 12 at the Gabriel Center, Eskasoni. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church with Fr.
