It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Barry Wilson Knott, age 70, of Coxheath, CB at the QUEII in Halifax on February 26, 2018. Barry retired from the Fortress of Louisbourg where he greatly enjoyed working with all of his friends. He loved his horse (Tama), playing his Martin guitar and going to Tim Hortons “To solve the world’s problems” with all of his friends. He will never be forgotten by his best friend of 56 years, David Butler. Big Bear or Dad (as he was always called) loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew him. Survived by his loving wife, Joan; sons, Justin (Jenn) and Jason (Holly); daughter, Shelley Noseworthy (Jason); grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Sadie, Josey and Leo; brother, Blaine (Jean), and niece, Katie and nephew, Charles. He was predeceased by his parents, Wilson and Katherine Knott, and sister, Beverly Foggoa (Andy). Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, March 2 at S.W. Chant and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday at 12 p.m. in the S.W. Chant Chapel, Sheldon Chant to officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.chantfuneralhome.ca. Funeral arrangements under the care of S.W.
