Allan Macadam

Allan Patrick Hugh MacAdam, of Sydney, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at home on Friday, June 7, 2019. Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Allan Joseph ‘AJ’ and Noreen (Murphy) MacAdam. He was co-owner and operator of the family business, Kentucky Fried Chicken. Pappy was an avid baseball player, a hunter and fisherman. He particularly enjoyed playing snooker at branch 12 legion. Allan is survived by his wife, Janet (MacLeod); daughter, Lana (Tommy Olson) MacAdam, Sydney; son, Darren John, Sydney; sisters, Mary (Ronnie) Hatcher, Bedford, Patricia Blanchard, Sydney, Eileen (Raymond) Bryden, Sydney; brothers, Vernon (Pat), Lower Sackville, Frank, Sydney; granddaughter, Nicole (Jesse) Paine; great-grandchildren, Mackaela, and twins, Felix and Louie. He was predeceased by his sister, Noreen MacPhee and brother, Billy Myatt. Funeral service will take place Tuesday, June 11, 2019 in the United Heritage Church at 2 p.m. with Rev. Duncan Roach officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Palliative Care of Cape Breton.
