There’s a man contacting young women attempting to sell their used prom dresses and threatening them.
“Females have been posting ads for sale of prom dresses on Kijiji (a popular website),” said Cpl. Lisa Croteau of the RCMP.
“A man has contacted them, asked for personal information including address and phone number and then contacted them to make threats.”
The RCMP aren’t outlining the nature of the threats made to the young women and aren’t aware of any incidents of the man showing up at the addresses provided. The incidents reported all happened to sellers in the Halifax area.
The RCMP is investigating the threats and is encouraging anyone else who has suffered a similar situation to contact them at 902-490-5020 or anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS.
