NORTH QUEENS – The North Queens Fire Association received a call to respond to a structure fire on Highway 208 in North Brookfield, N.S. at about 7:30 a.m. May 1.
“We arrived on scene, (and) it was fully involved,” said Chris Wolfe, chief of the North Queens Fire Association in Caledonia.
One occupant who lived in the house was out safely by the time firefighters arrived, added Wolfe.
Wolfe said the Red Cross and fire marshal have been contacted
“Everything else is unknown,” said Wolfe.
Multiple fire departments responded, including Liverpool, Greenfield, Annapolis Royal and Hemford. Wolfe said firefighters cleared the scene at about 11 a.m.
