LOCKEPORT - Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) wishes to advise the public that blood collection services will not be available at the Lockeport Health Centre on Wednesday, Dec. 19.
People requiring blood collection services on that day can visit Roseway Hospital in Shelburne and Queens General Hospital in Liverpool during blood collection hours. For more information on blood collection times, visit NSHA’s website.
Next week, there will be no blood collection services in Lockeport due to the Boxing Day holiday.
NSHA would like to remind people that anyone with urgent medical needs should call 911, particularly if experiencing unusual symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest tightness, abdominal pain, persistent headache or dizziness, or an injury requiring stitches or involving a broken bone.
For non-urgent care, call your primary care provider. For general health advice and information call 811, which is a service offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week by experienced registered nurses.
