WINDSOR, NS - A Windsor man charged with beating and stabbing a victim in a marijuana theft will be back in court later this week for a bail hearing.

Christopher Samuel Hodges, 34, was present in provincial court in custody on Nov. 20. He’s charged with beating and stabbing a man in stealing 35 grams of cannabis marijuana from the alleged victim; assault with a weapon, a knife; failing to comply with probation; possessing cannabis marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and trafficking in cannabis marijuana.

The Crown was opposed to Hodges’s release and the matters were adjourned to Nov. 23 for a bail hearing and election and plea on the five charges. Hodges consented to being remanded in custody until his next court appearance.

It’s alleged that Hodges committed the offences in Windsor on Nov. 16. The charges have not been proven in court.
