LAWRENCETOWN - Power is out for 508 customers in the Lawrencetown area after high winds knocked trees onto power lines on Highway 201.

The outage happened at 4:30 p.m. with an estimated 8 p.m. restoration time.

The outage includes most of Lawrencetown, Inglisville, and west on Highway 201 to West Paradise.

Reports indicate that Lawrencetown Volunteer Fire Department was also called to the scene.

In the Port George area a smaller outage is affecting about five households. Power there is expected to be back at 8:30 p.m.
