NEWTONVILLE, NS – Three people have been arrested after an RCMP investigation found over one kilogram of unprocessed cocaine and other trafficking-related evidence.
The investigation was led by the Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit at a home on Black River Road, where RCMP found and seized a 1 kilogram brick of unprocessed cocaine, 100 grams of packaged cocaine, cash, trafficking paraphernalia and an improperly stored firearm.
Ray Jeffery Brown, 33, of Wolfville was arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 Drug for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Candice Cherice Hartt, 30, of Avonport was arrested and charged with the same offence.
Allister Shane MacLean, 40, of Newtonville was also arrested and charged with the same offence, along with two more charges of Unsafe Storage of a Firearm and Possession of a Firearm.
Brown remains in custody, and Hartt and MacLean have both been released.
Hartt and MacLean will each appear in Kentville Provincial Court March 13, 2018, to face charges.
Brown will appear in court at a later date.
The investigation remains ongoing.
