Pedestrian struck by car in downtown Windsor

WINDSOR, N.S. – Police are reporting that a woman was struck by a vehicle while crossing Water Street around 3:16 p.m. on Dec. 11.

Emergency first responders, including RCMP officers, paramedics, and firefighters, plus members of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal attended the scene.

The woman who was hit by the vehicle is said to be in her 60s.

Cpl. Jennifer Clarke, a media relations officer with the RCMP, said the woman suffered lower body injuries, which were considered non-life threatening.

Clarke said the investigation is ongoing, with no charges pending at this time.
