CENTRE RAWDON, N.S. - East Hants RCMP and Rawdon firefighters investigated the scene after an oil truck slid into a ditch in the evening hours of Jan. 9.
Just before 8pm Wednesday evening, a fuel delivery truck slid into the ditch on Meek Road in Center Rawdon.
According to a press release, the driver was outside the vehicle, the truck was on its side and some of the load was leaking from the truck as RCMP, fire departments, and EHS personnel attended the scene.
The driver of the fuel truck was transported to hospital for examination.
The collision was related to weather and road conditions at the time, RCMP said.
No other vehicles were involved.
Rawdon Fire Department members and Hazmat remained at the scene assisting with cleaning up of the spill. South Rawdon Road near Meek Road in Center Rawdon remained closed in both directions until approximately 6 a.m.
