BARRINGTON, N.S. – The Municipality of Argyle’s municipal clerk will soon by the Municipality of Barrington’s new Chief Administrative Officer CAO. Chris Frotten was hired for the position at a special council meeting on Nov. 5. He begins his duties on Nov. 26.
“I am excited to join the Council and Staff of the Municipality of Barrington and I look forward to working with them to complete important projects and seek new opportunities that will grow the municipality,” said Frotten in a press release.
Frotten brings with him six year’s experience working for the Municipality of Argyle where he had advanced through the organization to the position of Municipal Clerk, gaining experience in a range of responsibilities inherent in a small progressive municipal organization during that time.
Prior to his municipal experience, Frotten filled the role of Coordinator for the 33rd Acadian Games. Aside from his work experience, Chris has been an active volunteer in his community serving in leadership roles in a range of non-profit organizations.
“We are looking forward to having Chris join the Municipality and assume the role of CAO,” said Warden Eddie Nickerson. “His competency will be of great assistance as our organization proceeds through our Strategic Plan.”
