House fire in Mill Village no longer considered suspicious: RCMP

Mill Village, NS - The Queens District RCMP is investigating a fatal house fire in Mill Village. 

At approximately 11:50 a.m. Jan. 26, the RCMP responded to a house fire at the request of the local fire department, says a news release. The fire department advised the house was fully engulfed up on its arrival. 

As a result of the investigation, human remains were located. The Queens District RCMP remained on scene with the Fire Marshall’s Office while the investigation continues.

Initially, the fire was considered suspicious, according to a news release from the RCMP. However, Const. Natasha Dantiste confirmed via email Jan. 28 that "The fire is no longer deemed as suspicious."
