HANTSPORT, N.S. – A vehicle could be seen through the bushes several metres from Highway 101, near the Hantsport exit, as emergency crews worked Feb. 5 to extricate the lone occupant.

Hantsport deputy chief Rob Merchant, said the incident involved only one vehicle.

“The vehicle stayed upright, there was extrication involved,” Merchant said at the scene. “The occupant of the vehicle was transferred to EHS for transport to hospital.”

Traffic heading towards the Annapolis Valley was reduced to one lane while emergency responders were on scene.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. The extent of the driver’s injuries is unknown.
