Four firearms stolen from Hantsport home while homeowner slept

The story of a person who died in a vehicle fire in a wooded area near Deer Lake is another example of tragedy dotting the early part of our list. RCMP were alerted to the blaze in July.

HANTSPORT, N.S. — HANTSPORT, N.S. - At approximately 8:30 p.m. on February 17, Windsor District RCMP responded to a complaint of theft of four firearms from a home on Prince St. in Hantsport. 

The firearms, all of which were handguns, were secured in a locked metal box. They were taken from the home while the victim was asleep.
