WINDSOR, N.S. — A convicted sex offender has pleaded not guilty to three charges, which involve voyeurism, sexual assault and breaching release conditions.

Eddie Henshaw, of Three Mile Plains, was not present at the Hants County Courthouse in Windsor Feb. 19. Henshaw’s lawyer, Chrystal MacAulay, appeared on his behalf. She elected for provincial court with a trial in English.

His trial has been set for two days, spanning July 29 and 30.

Henshaw remains under strict conditions after being granted bail in late January.

He’s not allowed to leave his mother’s property in Three Mile Plains, except to attend court, medical appointments, or with his surety.

Henshaw’s latest charges are related to one victim, Crown attorney Bill Fergusson previously confirmed to the Valley Journal-Advertiser.

A publication ban is in effect regarding the victim in this case.

The Windsor District RCMP responded to a complaint of sexual assault on Jan. 24. Henshaw was arrested and held in custody on the same day.

Following an investigation, the accused was charged in relation to two incidents that allegedly occurred on Jan. 21 and 23.

Henshaw, who was described as a high-risk offender by police and Corrections Services Canada, was released from prison on May 22, 2018, after serving a sentence of three years in a federal penitentiary for sex crimes.

Henshaw has a long record of previous crimes dating back to 1993, many of which were of a sexual nature.

None of the recent charges against Henshaw has been proven in court.
