Voices from the choir of Dr. John C. Wickwire Academy sang into the night to kick off the annual Christmas on the Mersey festivities in Liverpool Dec. 1.
The choir’s finale, sung from the steps of the Town Hall Arts and Cultural Centre, was the popular classic, We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
David Dagley, mayor of the Region of Queens Municipality, welcomed everyone to the tree-lighting ceremony.
Once everyone called out, “Merry Christmas,” lights came on, bringing a festive glow to Main Street.
