YARMOUTH, N.S. — There was lots of celebrating going on in the region on July 1, Canada Day.
Events included a mayor and councillors’ barbecue in Digby, a parade in Weymouth, fireworks behind Villa Acadienne, musical entertainment on the Yarmouth waterfront followed by fireworks over the harbour, activities at the Acadian Village and the Acadian Museum in West Pubnico, a 5K run and car show in Clark’s Harbour, as well as a strawberry festival, parade and concerts in Lockeport.
